Name : Impact of Celebrity Endorsement on Branding of FMCG Products in Indian Small Towns

Abstract :
In the present scenario of information explosion and media power, the advertisement plays a major role in changing customer perception about brands. Endorsement is a channel of brand communication in which a celebrity acts as the brand's spokesperson and certifies the brand's claim and position by extending his/her personality, popularity, stature in the society or expertise in the field to the brand. Celebrity Endorsement is a billion dollar industry today (Kambitsis, 2002) with companies signing deal with film stars, sports persons , entertainers , politician and other celebrities hoping that they can make their brand stand out in this competitive era. Celebrity endorsement has become an essential part of today's advertisement world especially in the FMCG sector. It is argued in the previous researches that FMCG Company make mistake while entering in the rural market. These companies treat rural market as an extension to the existing urban market. But the rural Indian consumers' demographic and psychographic variables differ from those of urban consumers. The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of celebrity endorsement on branding of FMCG products in Indian small towns. The study reveals the fact that there is no considerable impact of celebrity endorsement on branding of FMCG products in Indian small towns. The study also concludes that the celebrity endorsement is not significantly influencing the brands and its undertaken factors (branding elements) in case of Indian small towns.

Name : “Impact of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) on the Life of Women Living under Poverty”- A Study of District Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh

Abstract :
The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) of India is most progressive legislation enacted by parliament. This is the flagship program introduced by UPA government and implemented by the Ministry of Rural Development with primary objective of providing livelihood security to rural poor of BPL families by providing them at least 100 days guaranteed unskilled manual work in a year. The Act has become the fact of life of rural poor and with the stipulation that 33% of the total work will be given to the women it provides the means to raise the socio-economic status of the rural women from BPL families. In this paper by conducting a survey of rural areas of district Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) and by the in-depth interview of women beneficiaries it is tried to find out that up to what extent MGNREGA is helpful for women in raising their standard of living through the provision of 100 days guaranteed employment. The paper also highlights the factors influencing the participation of women in this scheme and assess the institutional and governance system related to the implementation of the scheme particularly the ways through which employment opportunities are offered to women. The results suggest that MGNREGA has positive impact on the quality of life of women in rural areas but there is also a need for immediate rectifications of some of the flaws observed during the survey to make MGNREGA more effective.

Abstract :
With the advent of LPG (Liberalisation, Privatization and Globalisation) regime, the Indian economy opened its gates for international trade resulting into heavy influx of luxurious international brands in Indian markets over past two decades. These two decades have brought about many changes occurring across global economy which has had repercussions on Indian economy. There has been consistent higher economic growth leading to increase in gross domestic product and per capita income of Indian nationals. The qualitative demographic changes have made the people in India with better education, improved job opportunities, higher pay packages and ultimately sweeping changes in the lifestyle. The newer developments in the past couple of decades have activated the forces which are empowering more and more individuals today to reach farther, faster, deeper and cheaper than ever to make life easier, comfortable and elegant. There has been a shift in the mindset of consumers towards lifestyle, recreation, luxury and entertainment expenditures. As a result, today products from basic to the high snob value are coming to the range and reach of the people. The market is flooded and flushed with an explosion of choices of products with seemingly very little differences between the products. This paper studies the luxury industry with respect to luxury cars and also the demographic parameters of luxury customers. The paper also investigates what evaluative criteria is used by consumers when purchasing premium car brands.

Name : Family Work Conflict among Married Women Employees in Ludhiana: An Empirical Study

Abstract :
In the complex and dynamic business world with the ever increasing requirements of the work, employees are likely to develop conflict between their work and non-work activities. Family–work conflict (FWC) and work–family conflict (WFC) are more likely to exert negative influences in the family domain, resulting in lower life satisfaction and job satisfaction. Studies have identified several variables that influence the level of WFC and FWC. The aim of this study is to find out about the married women employee's perception of various factors which could leads to FWC. Quota sampling method was followed. Survey was conduced and data was analyzed on the basis of responses provided by 100 respondents. A well structured questionnaire was formulated, which was subjected to pilot testing and re-drafted. The obtained data was analyzed using descriptive, mean and S.D and inferential statistics. Carl Pearson's Correlation was used to find the relationship between the different variables. The result of study may have practical significance for human resource managers of especially where married women employed at large extent to improve staff commitment and productivity together with designing their recruitment and retention policies.

The entry of global brands and technology, rising raw materials costs, withdrawal of Government benefits and the uncertainty of fuel prices, all have seemed to added oil into the fierce fire of competition. Yet one brand has overcome all these odds and has emerged as a fighting champion. Maruti Suzuki can be truly said as an automobile brand that has been able to survive amidst the tough competition in India. A major reason of its success is often credited to its focus on print advertisements. With regular print advertising, Maruti Suzuki has definitely got itself an edge as compared to others. In Madhya Pradesh, Maruti Suzuki is seen to advertise in popular Hindi- Newspapers which highlight its offers and models. The research scopes to understand the factors influencing customers with respect to print advertisements.

Name : The Impact of Corporate Leverage on Profitability: Evidence from IT Industry in India

Abstract :
The term 'leverage' is used to utilize the fixed cost or funds to increase the returns to the owners of the firm. The study is an attempt to analyze the determinants of corporate leverage in IT industry in India. In order to test the hypotheses and to address the objectives of the study, the present study has chosen 28 sample firms from IT industry in India, which are listed in National Stock Exchange. The study used correlation and regression analysis to find the relationship and the impact of corporate leverage on profitability. The study proves that there is a significant impact of operating Leverage and Financial Leverage on Return on Net worth. Hence, based on the results, the 1 2study rejects Ho and Ho , revealing that the Operating Leverage and Financial Leverage have impact, of course the Operating Leverage negatively while the Financial Leverage positively, on Return on Net worth of IT Industry as a whole in India. However, the impact o Combined Leverage on Return on Net worth is not significant due to negative impact of Operating Leverage on Return on Net worth.

The human beings, directly and indirectly are influenced by the factors of environment. Among these factors, climate has direct effects on the human's economic activities. It has a major influence on the process of decision making regarding the use of resources. This influences the culture and life style of the different races of the people. Though with the help of advancement in science and technology, man is in the position of modifying the environment by creating artificial changes but that is to a very limited extent. India's environmental resources are limited. Further these resources are being exploited by unprecedented growth of population and unplanned economic development. The environmental resources are the foremost and mandatory requirement for sustainable development. These resources are depleted by environmental pollution and deterioration. India has enacted more than 200 laws for protecting the environment with significant provisions in the constitution. An attempt is made to systematically analyze the initiatives taken by the government of India in the broader framework. The study will provide greater insight into the efforts done by Government of India for the citizens of the country, NGOs, institutes, regulatory agencies, polluting sources as well as general public.

Consequently, with the passing of the traditional banking to electronic banking, new strategies have become necessary in order to attract and retain existing as well new customers. E-banking is the most innovative trend among the customers. The transfer from the traditional banking to e-banking has been a rising amendment in banking dealings. Enlarged competition, the advancement of information & communication technology, and changing business environment etc. are the important concerns that have forced banking services to change. This particular paper tries to explore the role and relevance of e-banking in regard to customer services and as a cost reduction tool for banks in India and the initiative taken by RBI along with progress made by Scheduled Commercial Banks in this regard.

Abstract :
Excellence in service is rare, mediocrity is common. What characterizes excellence from mediocrity is its closeness to the customer, productivity through people. The customer is reign supreme since the present need in corporate sector is to receive outstanding quality of service. The hallmark of excellence is customer service culture. Excellence in service is marketing-oriented, operates with a target set of customers in mind and co-ordinates its efforts to satisfy their demands from the long term belief. Service institutions like banks seek to enhance their image by providing continuous, and signal quality to customers often by using intangibles. Most institution has realized now that a combination of tangible and intangible dimensions could only constitute the service quality strategy for any firm. There are wide disparities in likes, dislikes, lifestyle, and profile of the bank customers, more so, in a large and diverse country like India. One way to make the task less daunting and more manageable could be to divide the bank customers into groups on the basis of similarity in their banking related behaviour and expectations. Managing customer relationships has thus become the new mantra for businesses, especially in the so-called new economy. The present study comprised a sample of 305 customers of the leading nationalized banks in the region, i.e. the State Bank of India above all the Nationalized Banks. The complete survey of customers was carried out in Berhampur, Odisha. As such, the investigator first attempted to study the service quality that a customer expects from an “Excellent” bank. Next, the investigator emphasized on the responses of customer with regards to his/her perception about the quality of service actually experienced in the bank. The data have presented by descriptive statistics i.e. in the tables and the results interpreted though correlation analysis.

Purpose- Administrators are an important group of people that provides leadership to any institution. They hold multiple administrative positions in addition to their main responsibilities, which increases their workload. This paper makes an attempt to bring to light the major causes of stress for the administrators and presents a refined integrated conceptual framework in this field.
Design/Methodology/Approach – A review of available literature was summarized to identify the factors contributing more stress so that most studied factors will be taken into consideration for future empirical research.
Findings – The majority of the earlier studies showed that the Work attributes (Work overload and Difficulty of work) and Role conflict/Role ambiguity are the most studied variables and most important variables causing stress followed by High Self expectations and Staff related problems.

Name : Customer Perception on E-Banking Service

The development and the increasing progress that is being experienced in the Information and Communication Technology have brought about a lot of changes in almost all facets of life. In the Banking Industry, it has been in the form of online banking, which is now replacing the traditional banking practice. The present paper is the outcome of an empirical study conducted with the objective of investigating customer's views regarding e-banking. It covers Customers perception on online banking activities and its impact and promotional measures used by banks to promote online banking.
This paper therefore, examines, if customers' choice of banks is influenced by the quality of e–banking services provided. Stratified sampling was used; while the survey Instrument was a developed Questionnaire comprising open ended and Likert type of questions. The Likert type questions have a 5 point scale (indicating 1 strongly disagree to 5 strongly agree).secondly personal details and customers' e-banking preference in Gwalior. The instrument contained 23 items and was administered to about 300 respondents, while 285 respondents using regularly online banking services. The statistical techniques used for the analysis were the ANOVAs. The ANOVAs analysis revealed that the relationship with different income group of respondents that the perception about the e–banking services offered by banks. The study revealed that education, gender and income play an important role in usage of online banking. The research corroborated the conceptual framework stating that if skills can be upgraded there will be greater will to use online banking by consumers.

The demand for management education depends upon one of the major attribute like expenses on coaching for MBA entrance exam of an individual which are broadly classified in two main categories namely demand side and supply side factors. The effect of this determinant on demand for education differs significantly depending on the pattern and context of the study. Hence, it is important to predict, control and analyze the structure and determinant of demand for education. The proposed study focuses on impact of expenses on coaching for MBA entrance exam on the demand for management education across various management institutions in Indore with the help of the primary data & Logistic Regression. The data has been collected from a student survey of MBA 1st year students of 2012-14 batch from institutes affiliated to DAVV(Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya) or Devi Ahilya University and IIM-Indore (Indian Institute of Management-Indore).

Abstract :
India is the second fastest growing economy of the world. The rapid growth and development in industry, trade and services owes its success to the technological adoption and advancements. But this is drastically affecting the environment and in turn the quality of life. India has been ranked 155 out of 178 countries on the 2014 Environmental Performance Index (EPI). The gigantic business houses which are earning and prospering due to gaining huge business from society have an ethical and moral responsibility to take care of society in return. Since, pollution is a drastically growing crisis; it needs to be handled urgently. The government has been laying down rules and regulations from time to time but there have been some flaws in adoption and reporting of the green practices of the companies since long. Keeping in view the above problems, this paper evaluates the developments in the adoption of green marketing concept and reporting practices among top five electronic companies in India and a few other popular Indian electronic companies. For the purpose, six major areas of operations namely, environmental policy, manufacturing process, green house gas emissions and carbon foot printing, energy efficacy initiatives and e- waste management have been investigated. On the basis of content analysis and comparative study of the efforts, the results have been discussed and some pragmatic suggestions have been made towards the end of the paper so that the efforts by the companies become more robust and effective.

Name : Visible and Invisible Health Problems of Youth in India

Abstract :
Youth is form of precious human resources in every country. Interestingly, this people nick names are more like in youth, young, adolescents, young adults and adults. The present study searched based on reviewed high standard journals cat log and opinion page in daily news papers, but its available only public related studies and general health problems. It's not covered health for youth in any areas. Today, adults are faced several internal and external health problems. Nearly 10 to 30percent of youth people are affected by several diseases like nutritional disorders, diabetes, hypertension, tuberculosis, road traffic accidents, tobacco use and alcoholism, stress, suicide, depression and violence are more in the age group of 10 to30years. The analysis part used in this study is meta-analysis of availability of different studies, reports in different areas of youth. After reviewing so many studies, there is no concrete action for youth health in both sides.In India, many health programmes are introduced on general public, for example, health insurance scheme, maternal benefits schemes, immunization for children etc, but it is not covered for youth health specifically. No separate health programmes and policies for them and need to take care of future pillar of our nation. The present reviewed study strongly recommends few health programmes and policies to alleviate the visible and invisible health problems of young.
