| Name | : | Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Reporting and Corporate Governance: Insights from Emerging Markets |
| Author | : | Gopika Juneja,Dr Pranav Saraswat |
| Abstract | : |
This research investigates the effect of Environmental, Social, and
Governance (ESG) reporting on corporate governance in the practices
of emerging markets, focusing particularly on its role in creating
increased transparency, accountability, and stakeholder interaction. The
study seeks to identify whether ESG reporting motivates better
corporate governance, particularly in nations experiencing changing
regulatory and institutional frameworks. A mixed-methodology design
was used, incorporating qualitative case study and quantitative data
analysis. Data were collected from secondary sources such as ESG
reports, governance releases, and financial reports of 50 listed Indian
companies belonging to major industries, chosen by their level of ESG
disclosures and the range of governance data available between the years
2018 and 2023. Content analysis of ESG discloses and a comparative
analysis of governance performance before and after taking up ESG
practices were made.
The results confirm a positive association between ESG disclosures and
enhanced corporate governance, in the form of greater board
independence, effectiveness of audit committees, and stakeholder
inclusiveness. Higher scores of ESG disclosure also translated into
effective risk management and ethical governance practices.
Furthermore, regulatory standards, such as the Business Responsibility
and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) initiative, facilitated the
institutionalization of ESG practices, hence strengthening corporate
governance structures. These findings underscore the catalytic power of
ESG reporting in promoting governance reforms in emerging markets.
This research provides useful lessons for policymakers, regulators, and
business leaders that ESG reporting has the potential to be a strategic
catalyst for long-term sustainability, investor trust, and business
resilience. In addition, the study adds to the sparse literature on the
impacts of ESG in emerging economies, presenting a holistic
perspective on the governance advantages of ESG integration.

| Name | : | A Rough Set Theory Based Approach to Work-Family Dynamics and its impact on Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Organizational Commitment |
| Author | : | Tanaya Ghosh,Sumati Ray |
| Abstract | : |
This study utilizes a rough set theory (RST)-based approach to investigate the influence of work-
family conflict (WFC) and work-family enrichment (WFE) on organizational citizenship
behavior (OCB) and organizational commitment (OC). WFC and WFE are pivotal factors
shaping employee attitudes and behaviors, as individuals strive to balance professional
responsibilities with personal obligations. The interaction between these factors can significantly
affect employees’ commitment to their organization and their engagement in discretionary,
prosocial behaviors that contribute to workplace effectiveness.
Given the complexity and inherent uncertainty in these relationships, rough set theory (RST) is
employed as a data-driven method to analyze ambiguous and overlapping patterns within the
dataset. RST enables the identification of key decision rules that explain how WFC and WFE
contribute to variations in OCB and OC. The findings enhance theoretical perspectives on work-
family dynamics while also providing actionable insights for organizations aiming to develop
strategic policies and human resource interventions. By addressing both the challenges and
benefits associated with work-family interactions, this research offers valuable guidance for
fostering a supportive organizational culture that reduces conflict, promotes enrichment, and
enhances overall employee engagement and commitment.

| Author | : | Khudaybergan Khudayberganov,Sarvinoz Tursunova,Dilorom Tashpulatova,Ismoilova Sanobarxon,Valisher Sapayev |
| Abstract | : |
In the year 2023, while COVID-19 pandemic effects continue, supply chain resilience
has become a priority agenda of the manufacturing sector, especially in developing
countries such as Uzbekistan. The aim of this research is to examine how
knowledge management and university-industry collaboration can contribute to the
supply chain resilience in the post-COVID-19 era. The present research was
conducted with a mixed (qualitative-quantitative) type in terms of purpose. Data were
collected through semi-structured interviews with 15 experts and questionnaires with
120 managers and experts in Uzbekistan's manufacturing industry and were
analyzed through content analysis and structural equation modeling. The findings
revealed a positive and significant relationship between knowledge management and
resilience (r=0.721) and between industry-university collaboration and resilience
(r=0.634). The results of regression analysis indicated that these two variables
explained 58.5% of the variance of supply chain resilience (p<0.05), and knowledge
management contributed more significantly to this model (β=0.598). In addition, the
biggest obstacle to effective collaboration was identified as the lack of an institutional
and formal framework. This research concludes that the parallel development of
internal knowledge management competences and intensification of external
linkages with universities is one of the most important strategies for attaining resilient
supply chains in Uzbekistan. This demands a firm commitment on the part of
policymakers and managers to establish the required institutional and cultural
environments.

| Name | : | ESG Integration in Corporate Strategy with education: How Business Schools Can Bridge the culture Gap for Sustainable FDI in central Asia |
| Author | : | Ruziyeva Rucksora,Sapayev Valisher,Jumayeva Xulkarxon,Sayliyeva Mashkura,Abdullayev Dadaxon |
| Abstract | : |
This research investigates how embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance
(ESG) principles into corporate strategies impacts the attraction of sustainable
foreign direct investment (FDI) in Central Asia, with a particular focus on the
influence of business school education. The data reveals a notable correlation: a
0.56, point improvement in ESG scores (p<0.01) translates directly into higher FDI
sustainability. For instance, Kazakhstan, boasting an ESG score of 65.2, attracted
$12.5 billion in investment inflows. A survey of 200 regional managers and experts
underscores the pivotal role of business schools in bridging cultural divides.
Specifically, 82.1% of respondents emphasized the effectiveness of cross, cultural
education programs as critical for project success. Nevertheless, challenges
remain—70.1% highlighted insufficient localization of curriculum content, and 58.9%
cited limited training resources, factors that together diminished the overall efficacy
of cross, cultural training by 47%. Managerial performance data following ESG,
focused courses demonstrated significant gains: cultural competence improved by
43.8%, while project success rates increased by 41.2% (p<0.01). Case studies
further illustrate that projects with strong ESG integration—such as those in
renewable energy—were up to 85.7% more successful. At the regional level,
disparities are evident. Kazakhstan, for example, achieved 72.5% training coverage
and subsequently experienced a 15.2% growth in FDI, whereas Turkmenistan, with
only 58.9% coverage, saw just a 9.5% increase. Ultimately, these findings
underscore the necessity of transforming business school curricula to equip future
managers with a nuanced understanding of Central Asia’s unique cultural and
environmental demands.

| Name | : | A Hybrid MCDM Framework for Resilient Food Supply Chain Optimization at Mega Events: Challenges, Insights, and a Strategic Roadmap |
| Author | : | Srikant Gupta,Vinayak Vishwakarma,Richa Srivastava |
| Abstract | : |
This study aims to optimize food supply chain management at Mahakumbh, one of the largest
religious gatherings in the world, by identifying and prioritizing the challenges faced in this
complex logistical environment. By employing a combination of the Delphi technique,
Pythagorean Fuzzy AHP, and empirical validation, the research aims to provide actionable
insights for stakeholders involved in food supply management during mega-events.
Design/Methodology/Approach
A mixed-methods research design was employed, initially using the Delphi technique to solicit
the experts' opinions regarding the issues in the food supply chain management. Then, the
Pythagorean Fuzzy AHP technique employed a series of 13 post-graduate qualified suppliers as
input in ranking the issues. Empirical validation was then carried out using the snowball and
purposive sampling methods with the aid of 140 respondents to collect more general opinions
among the attendees at the Mahakumbh.
Findings
The results indicated a consensus across the top problems, the most significant being the
effective transport and storage of food (C4), followed by making the practices more sustainable
(C6) and the reduction of food waste (C5). This ranking reflects the logistical challenges inherent
in managing the food supply chain for big events when the large numbers attending the event
mean that very detailed planning and control are needed. Solving these problems will be a key
requirement for the success of the Mahakumbh and the health and welfare of the tens of
thousands of pilgrims who participate in this important religious festival.
Research Limitation/Implications
The study's emphasis on post-graduate responses limits it and might not fairly represent the
opinions of all the participants engaged in food supply management for the event. Furthermore,
depending too much on professional judgments might bring prejudice. Future studies should use
a more varied sample to reflect a greater spectrum of viewpoints and experiences.
Originality
This study adds knowledge to the body of literature on mega-events food supply chain
management by integrating innovative methods such as Pythagorean Fuzzy AHP with empirical
proof, providing a systematic model for comprehending and responding to the peculiar
challenges faced by the food supply chain in major religious events.
